Some common ways to clean eyeglasses correctly include using (1) water and soap; and (2) lens cleansing kit. About the water and soap method, since eyeglasses cannot be exposed to extreme temperature, the running water you choose must be at lukewarm temperature. And if you choose to use detergent, instead of soap, make sure that it's an oil free type. Both hot water and inappropriate detergent can compromise the integrity of lens coatings on lens surfaces. The lens cleanse kit may be an easier option, which is easily supplied for all by most optometrists' offices.
